I made it through my first Hurricane!!
If you hadn't heard by now I moved to Houston to teach ART in the Aldine Independent School District at Nimitz 9th Grade. I am teaching 175 students a day! Yes, you heard that right! (They have 1000 ninth graders at this school!) I've had struggles with mostly noise levels and erratic behavior that any 9th grader can distribute!! I have one of my own. This morning I journeyed on a run through my brother's neighborhood. The run was fantastic. Not too hot or humid. Before I left I, of course, did some yoga asanas to elongate my spine and stretch my hip flexors and stretch my ankles. Before I left my mother was making breakfast for her Grandchildren.
